THANK YOU MISSOURI RIVER RELIEF!!! a message from the president, Steve, Schnarr
Missouri River Relief is a non-profit based in Columbia, MO, that is dedicated to connecting people to the Missouri River through hands-on, on-the-river clean-ups, education and recreation. Since 2001, we've worked with 22,000 volunteers to remove 840 tons of trash from the Missouri River and her floodplain.
We believe the Missouri River is the heart of our region and that our waters reflect the care we have for the world we depend on. We want our people to be proud of and love our river! Every year we work with Central Methodist University students to clean up the river near Boonville. Our last big river clean-up in Boonville was in 2014. 200 volunteers removed 3.5 tons of junk from the river! This cleanup was followed by a wonderful River Festival with educational booths from area organizations, music and art from local students.
We are currently working on planning a river clean-up in Boonville in October of 2017.
